The Creative Works that I make are genuinely intuitive. Using color, texture, layering and line to create form. I am influenced by Abstract Expressionist and geometric wallpaper patterns of the Arts and Crafts movement in the 1800’s. The works are more about the push and pull of the composition. Using elements of visual art more like notes from a song with no lyrics to create movement. In short, I like to create pieces a viewer can explore and come to their own conclusion.

Everyday feeling and emotions that are a common thread for most individuals. I like to deal with insecurities that are prevalent in my own life. Weight, body image, bad habits, interactions with others and random thoughts populate my imagery. Humor and whimsey work into my artwork as I prefer to laugh at my foibles. Life has become so serious with the over-bombardment of media and the digital world that I want to share the humor and fun that life can be. Sometimes I just think funny things and they appear on paper.
