The in person reception will be February 3, 2022 from 5-7pm.

Curated by Laura Youngbird, award winning artist and arts educator. Laura earned her BS, BFA and MA from Minnesota State University/Moorhead with a minor in American Indian Studies. An
enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa, Grand Portage Band, Laura currently lives in Breckenridge, Minnesota and is the former Director of Native American Art at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo, North Dakota. Artists were given a copy of “An American Sunrise,” and
encouraged to create a piece that represented one of the works.

The group exhibition consists of many talented artists including, but not limited to, Frank Big Bear, Liselotte Erdrich, Naomi RaMona Schliesman, Falcon Gott, Karen Perry-Anderson, Felix Youngbird, and
Jaime Craig. An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book.

The opening reception will be in person. For those friends not ready to join us we will be broadcasting our artist talks via Facebook Live followed by a walk through of the exhibition.
