A collection of vibrant oil paintings depicting atmospheric scenes and wildlife from Theodore Roosevelt National Park photos that she took in November 2023 and February of 2024.

Kristen Young

A Ride in The Bluff with Wild Horses and Bison

Kristen is the current artist in residence and new board president of Spirit Room. Kristen Young received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MSUM in 2003 with a concentration in painting. She currently works at Baker Garden and Gift and helps plan events for the Spirit Room Galleries, exploring and refining her painting techniques in her spare time. Kristen has held several art exhibitions including The West Fargo Public Library along with the Spirit Room and is currently the Artist in Residence there. She has also received a grant from the Minot Area Art Association to support her oil painting workshops from October 2022 to May 2023. Kristen believes her “enthusiasm and curiosity for creativity constantly inspires me to see the best in others and myself.”
